The festive look of Orleans has been enhanced by the Orleans Improvement Association's Holiday Decorating Contest.
The winners of the contest are:
1st prize:  Bass River Optometrics, 173 Cranberry Highway, Rt. 6A
2nd prize:  Orleans Village Properties (Lisa Adams), Main Street, East Orleans
Honorable Mention for Best Night-time Display: Beth Bishop Shop, 45 Route 28
Honorable Mention for Best Window Display: Oceana, One Main Street Square

SURFIN’ SANTA CRUISER BIKE AND SURFBOARD RAFFLE: Watch out for the Surfin’ Santa Cruiser in various spots around town during the holiday season and enter to win the bike and board Santa used on his summer vacation and in the Orleans 4th of July Parade! Tickets are 3 for $5 or an arm's length for $20, and available at The Local Craftsman, Main St. Gourmet, Pleasant Bay Trading Company, The Last Stop in East Orleans, and wherever you find the cruiser on display. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Lower Cape Outreach Council to assist in providing food, shelter and necessities for local families in need. The drawing of the winning ticket will take place at The Local Craftsman, 14 Cove Road, Orleans, at noon on Thursday, December 24th, at The Local Craftsman. The winner need not be present to win.
